Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Caio VAZ RIMOLI is a biomolecular physicist who has just started 2024 in a tenured position as a Research Engineer in the newly created SAIRPICO project-team (INRIA/Rennes; Institut Curie/Paris), whose main theme is computational biology (bioimaging). He is currently a staff member of the Institut Curie (INSERM), in the "Endocytic Trafficking and Intracellular Delivery" team, led by Dr. Ludger Johannes in Paris. He did a postdoc at the Laboratoire Kastler Brossel (LKB) and Institut de Biologie d'ENS (IBENS), at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris. He holds a Ph.D. Degree in biophysics from the Institut Fresnel (Marseille, France), and a M.Sc. and a B.Sc. Degree in biomolecular physics from the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. Caio develops and applies novel state-of-the-art optical methods to biological systems/biomimetic models. In addition, he has years of experience in data processing and statistical analysis applied to biological images, non-linear spectra, and time-resolved spectra data. Currently, his main interest is in advanced computational bioimaging methods and analyses supported by artificial intelligence.
