Hello! My name is Caio, I have just started a new job as a Research Engineer at the Institut Curie (INSERM) in Paris. Between 2022 and 2023, I was a postdoc researcher at the Laboratoire Kastler Brossel (LKB) and at the neuroscience section of the Institut de Biologie de l'École Normale Supérieure (IBENS) in Paris, working at the interface of Neuroscience and Scattering Imaging in Complex Media (e.g., mouse brain).
On this homepage, you are going to find my research activities, my science communication content, and my updates. In particular, there is a section dedicated to scientific networking, with some photos telling a bit of a short story behind the people I've met during this short career path. Typically, they were people I have been studying, collaborating, and working with. You know, the scientific world is pretty small, so probably we might know some people in common! In addition, in my view, scientific networking is one of the best parts of the career due to cultural exchange. Since innovation is only made at the global level, working with science is intrinsically international (don't you agree)? Doing exact/life sciences demands one to not only expand the state-of-the-art boundaries of human technical knowledge but also to immerse and share cultural knowledge. Furthermore, this website also has a diverse photo gallery, with my own perspective of the places I've been so far (I love photography! Mainly nature photography... yes, my cheap phone only makes good photos of natural places because the view is overwhelmingly good!).
